Vision Stirrings of a Witch’s Heart Hardcover – July 10, 2017 by Tessa Baker (Author)

Synopsis-

This book is a compilation of feelings in various points in time in my life. I feel that one should express how they feel about situations that one must endure and overcome in life. The journey one must take in order to regain control once a series of tragic events leaving them feeling alone in the dark. This complication of poetry takes you through my journey to where I am now, after braving through the darkness at first alone, consumed to being saved ,and found brought back into the light. Paul Dulski who has also been my best friend has been here for me helping through my most confusing, dark times in my life showing me that there is hope. I found this hope in us knowing I will never have to feel abandoned again. I look forward to the future with new hope.

Spoiler-Free Review-

In the 78 paged poetry book titled “Vision Stirrings of a Witch’s Heart”, Tessa Marie Baker, a poetess, actress, and entrepreneur from Vermont, USA has created a poetry book full of her experience with life, how cancer affects a family, how she found her true love, Paul Dulski, and unique poems that explore a lot of emotions.

The first section of the poems is mainly focused on poetess Tessa’s early life experience which is very relatable especially when there is a mention of how it feels to be neglected in a family, and also surviving betrayals by friends, and people close to us. Of course the most important theme is how any girl loves her father so much because that man is someone who understands her and is her hero but when a disease like cancer takes the father away, the entire world changes for a daughter. This would resonate with many readers as any ill person in the family, especially, a parent, makes a child feel sad. This is especially true when a disease is something like cancer. The readers will get an inspiration through Tessa’s way of explaining how she felt, and how she handled every situation.

The second section is when Tessa finally meets Paul Dulski, who was also dealing with his own darkness of life, and yet showed the light to Tessa. The most important aspect here is that Tessa shares with the readers what it means to love someone. It means to accept the complete person with all of the flaws, and a past full of tragedies or mistakes. The humans are not perfect, but some try to make up for it, like how two pieces of a puzzle fit together, in the same way two soulmates come together through destiny and end up supporting each other, and becoming truly complete. The readers learn this process through Tessa’s description of the changes which happened after Paul Dulski entered her life. The same milestone which partly inspired Paul Dulski’s own motivational poetry book “The Light in The Darkness”.

The final section is full of energetic and mesmerizing poems with the themes of life, magic, forest, and “witch”. Here, the true meaning of witch seems to be a lady that’s perfectly fine with who she is, and has embraced the natural world in harmony with life. I loved a poem about Merlin the cat, and the bonus chapter with contributions by Alexandra Thompson, Ikkarus Ve Romanus and Raeven Ve Romanus while others like her love Paul Dulski and friend Emily Baker make a special appearance and her Mother Micky Baker  – all of who have a very special place in the poetess Tessa’s life. Readers would get to learn a lot of priceless knowledge about life, relationships, handling emotions & happiness through the compositions by Tessa, and all the guest writers.

The poetry book has no swear words or explicit content. It feels like a perfect poetry book for all ages but yes, since it deals with difficult parts of life, and emotions which often an adult or a teen can understand, this book is sweet to read even for children but a mature person can truly understand the deep meaning behind each well curated verse & phrases. Many beautiful free verse poems make you feel the emotions felt by Tessa at every part of her life.

In conclusion, The Vision Stirrings of a Witch’s Heart is an entertaining, and motivating poetry book full of beautifully written poems which have a lot of wisdom poured into them by the Poetess, Tessa Baker. As we all struggle with life sometimes, this poetry book reminds you to never give up, and accept yourself with all of your flaws or dark past because that’s what makes us humans. It also reminds the readers that there’s always a chance of finding happiness, true love, and good people who care for us.  All we have to do is stay strong, and never lose hope.

Amazon Review-

“Vision Stirrings of a Witch’s Heart is one of those books, where you don’t know the author till the end. It’s a journey that most people have or haven’t experienced themselves, but at the end of the day they didn’t give up on themselves. In search of light within the darkness, she has came out strong. I highly recommend showing support for this lovely lady’s first debut book. Cause not only is it hers, but it features her friends and family.”
